Vote for Handbags of Hope – Pepsi Project

by Kat

Handbags of Hope logoThough there are many worthy charitable events and organizations, there is none I support with more passion than Hand Bags of Hope.

Some of you are already aware of how this Michigan-based grassroots organization started.  Some, such as my teammates Carol, Donna and Monica, have also participated in some of its fund-raising events around Mother’s Day and Christmas.

Currently funded entirely by personal donations, HOH now has a wonderful opportunity to win a $5,000 grant from Pepsi as part of its Pepsi Project endeavor.

But to win that $5,000, HOH needs our active support. It’s easy and only requires a few moments of your time each day until the last day of March.

All you have to do is vote for Handbags of Hope at the Pepsi Project site. You can vote daily from now until March 31, 2010.  Getting this grant would be incredibly useful. As most of you know, it was started on a shoestring and even though still in its infancy, Handbags of Hope has delivered hundreds of new and gently used purses to women’s shelters throughout Michigan. Each purse is filled with things women need and appreciate most, especially  in times of uncertainity and stress.

Here’s your opportunity to help Jackie and her Handbags of Hope volunteers, none of whom receive any pay and all donations go directly toward keeping HOH going.  Read more in the messages below.  Or click this link to go directly to the Pepsi Project site:

Please note: I’ve experience occasionally trouble getting the Pepsi site to load, probably due to high volume. You might try copying and pasting the link in your browser or search for Pepsi Project and then Handbags of Hope.

On the Pepsi Project main page http://www.refresheverything.com/
you can also scroll through the Gifts of  Beauty & Empowerment or  under Current Leaders dropdown choose Near You

Thank you and PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD!

For more information visit the Handbags of Hope website and read Jeff Bobcean’s heartfelt message below.

Happy Vibes!
